I miss my 2 best friends in Malaysia, Mei See and Lee Lian, very much. I always wish that we can do things together and involve in each other's life like when we were in primary school and high school. I really miss them................... oh, no! I feel like crying now.

So when Mei See told me that she was going to learn to make Chinese Rice Dumplings from her mother-in-law, I asked her to take some pictures for me to post it here. You can get the below items from our site to make Chinese Rice Dumplings.
1. Glutinous Rice
2. Cooked Duck Egg Yolks
3. Dark Soy Sauce
4. Soy Sauce
5. Chestnuts
6. Mushrooms
7. Wrapping Leaves
8. Dipping Sauce

... I believe we have everything but if you can't find what you want, please let us know. Thank you.

Penang Prawn Noodle Soup (Hokkien Mee/Har Mee)

I grew up in Penang. I feel proud when people that are not from Penang tell me that they love Penang Prawn Noodle Soup. I remember Penang Prawn Noodle Soup (Hokkien Mee/Har Mee) always had the longest line at my school canteens and coffee shops. I wonder if it is still the same today.

It is not easy to cook a good Penang Prawn Noodle Soup from scratch. I heard my cousin can do it. The above noodle is cooked by him. I use the All-In-One Mixes to prepare my Penang Prawn Noodle Soup in less than 10 minutes. It is that simple and very delicious. I literally just add water, boil and serve. If you like, you can add a little bit of rock sugar in the soup. Don't forget to garnish some fried shallots when serve.

If you don't have 10 minutes to cook the soup with the All-In-One Mixes, you can cook a bowl of Penang Prawn Instant Noodles in 3 minutes. If you don't have 3 minutes, then I don't know what to say:) haha

Fish Porridge With White Pepper

This is the fish porridge that I had for dinner on Monday. So am I going to talk about how to cook the porridge? No, this post is about the white pepper that I sprinkled on the porridge.:)

When I eat porridge or half boiled eggs, I have to sprinkle white pepper that are imported from Asia. I just don't think they are go well with the pepper that we get in US. What do you think?

Sunflower Seeds

For the past one month, there were 3 'birds' eating Sunflower Seeds in my apartment. The 3 'birds' are my mother, aunt and I. Actually, my mother and aunt started first. I joined them about 2 weeks ago. It is quite fun and sweet to chit chat and eat Sunflower Seeds with them. Too bad, we couldn't interest my father to join us.:)

The No. 1 'Big Bird', my aunt, is flying back to Singapore next Wednesday. I call her the No. 1 'Big Bird' because she could eat Sunflower Seeds for hours... non-stop.:)

The No. 2 'Big Bird', my mother, is going back to Malaysia in November. I am going to miss them and the noise that we make from eating Sunflower Seeds so much.

Malaysia Food Truck In New York City

I saw a Malaysia Food Truck in Manhattan today. I stopped and got a plate of Nasi Lemak (Coconut Rice with Chicken Curry, Sambal Anchovies and egg).

From October 11 through November 19, some Malaysian restaurants offering Malaysian dishes will dispense FREE samples of Malaysian food in Manhattan and Queens.

Malaysia Government is putting a lot of effort to promote Malaysian food in New York Tri-State Area. They also include us (AsianSupermarket365) in their ad campaign in Food & Wine Magazine (November issue).

Hopefully with this campaign, more and more people in US will get more familiar with Malaysian food. Malaysian food is so good. I always tell people that it should be more popular than what we see today.

For more info on the food truck, click here.

Curry Laksa

I don't know why I have been craving for Curry Laksa so much since this morning. I wish I could have a bowl of Curry Laksa (see above picture) cooked by my friend, Elen, NOW!!!

Elen:
"No matter how hot and humid it is outside, I crave laksa regularly. This must be the Singaporean in me. Heehee. I love Prima Taste's Laksa Kit. It tastes exactly like the laksa I love back home. As with all Prima's products, laksa was easy and quick to prepare. I love that everything one needs to make a quick pot of laksa is available in one box. Dinner tonight was fantastic. In fact, halfway through eating his bowl of laksa, my American room mate had to stop and say, 'Holy crap, this is good!!!' His reaction made me laugh. We love Prima Taste!"

Mahjong Game Set

Mahjong is a game that I love very much but it is also a game that I don't really know the rules. I know it sounds ridiculous. I think I either don't have the talent or it's the environment. I want to blame it on the environment. My sisters and I grew up being told by my father how bad mahjong was. My father got very upset whenever we walked close to my mother's mahjong table.

When we grew up, there were no 'adults' in US to teach us the rules so I set the rules for my sisters to follow. Each of us will hold a piece of paper with 'my rules' when we play mahjong ...and of course a lot of questions asked that sometimes I don't even have an answer:)

Mahjong is a very fun game. But to my sisters and I, it is an important game for us to get together. Whenever we play mahjong, we will cook a lot of food too:)

Miss Mahjong game? You can buy the Mahjong Game Set from us.

Healthee USA Organic Chicken Essence

Last week I bumped into a friend that we haven't seen each other for about 6 months. She told me that I looked tired. I know 'You look tired' sometimes means 'You have aged or you look old.' She is right. I have been very tired lately. People that are always tired age faster.

I decided to do something about it. So I took my mom's advice to take the Healthee USA Organic Chicken Essence. I feel so good after that. I am taking it about 3 times a week. My dad had an operation before he came to US in June. My mom wanted him to drink it too. Chicken Essence has a lot of health benefits. I used to think that it tastes bad when I was a kid but now I love it.

Prima Taste Singapore Curry

We are very busy sending out updates and coupon codes on our Facebook Fan Page. I am so glad that our friend, Elen Sia, is willing to help us to post something that she cooked on our Blog. Elen is a big fan of Prima Taste's products. She is also a very creative cook. See what she did with Prima Taste’s Singapore Curry (Ready-To-Cook Sauce Kit):) So creative!!!

'I love curry. I especially love Singapore curry. It's robust and full of flavor. How convenient, therefore, that I can now have Singapore curry anytime I want with Prima Taste's Singapore Curry Ready-To-Cook Kit. Everything that's needed is in the box. Lunch today was lamb curry cooked in the slow cooker on High for 4 hours. I used 8 pieces of lamb sirloin and added 4 medium-sized red potatoes (peeled and cubed). After 2 hours, I added juice from 4 limes and sambal chilli to boost the flavor. When the lamb was tender after 4 hours, I served the curry with naan and Hainanese chicken rice. Delicious!' --

Moon Cakes and Gong Zai Moon Cakes

This year's Mid-Autumn Festival (Moon Cakes Festival) falls on September 22 (Wednesday). I hope it doesn't rain that evening because I want to plan something outdoor with my friends and family.

I have been in US for many years but I never forget to celebrate Moon Cakes Festival every year. I think it is an important and meaningful day to spend with friends and family.

Every year, we cook a lot of traditional and non-traditional Moon Cakes Festival food on that day. We always look forward to eating different flavors of Moon Cakes. I am glad that this year we are also selling Gong Zai Moon Cakes.

Pandan Egg Rolls

We added Kam Lun Tai Pandan Egg Rolls on our site today. My mother, sister and I ate it for the first time this afternoon. We like it because it is crispy, light and not too sweet. I can smell pandan while eating the egg rolls.

Kam Lun Tai Pandan Egg Rolls come in a very nice tin box. It is an ideal gift for many occasions. It is also very convenient to bring a box to the office and have it as breakfast and afternoon snack.

Fried Red Onion (Shallot)

Did I make the Fried Red Onion (Shallot)? No and no way! I personally don't think it is worth it to make Fried Red Onion from scratch. Well, you can wear a pair of swimming goggles when you cut the onions but can you or should you suffer the heat from frying the onions?

Fried Red Onion (Shallot) is an important garnish for all kinds of
soup, fried noodles, fried rice, noodle soup etc. You can get the Ready-To-Serve Fried Red Onion (Shallot) here .

The Fried Red Onion (Shallot) that we sell smells and tastes very good. My apartment smells so good after I took the above picture.:)

Wife Cake (Lo Paw Bang)

We added Yee Hup Wife Cake (Lo Paw Bang - Cantonese) yesterday. I can't wait to share with you. Not only because it is delicious but also because the name of this product is very unique. Wife Cake is also called Wife Biscuit and Sweetheart Cake.

I found the below information about where the name came from on Wikipedia.
'There are two legends that attempt to explain the origins of the Sweetheart cake. One tells the tale of a couple that lived a very poor life, in imperial China. They loved each other and lived in a small village.
Suddenly, a mysterious disease spread. The husband's father became very sick. The couple spent all of their money in order to treat the man's father, but he was still sick. The wife sold herself as a slave in exchange for money to buy medicine for her father-in-law.
Once the husband learned about what his wife did, he made a cake filled with sweetened winter melon and almond. He dedicated this pastry to his wife, whom he'll never forget and sold it. His cake became so popular that he was able to earn enough money to buy his wife back.
There is another version where the man went searching for his wife after he earned enough money to buy her back. In his search, he had a cup of tea at a local tea house, when he suddenly recognized the pastry they were serving with the tea. They were reunited at the tea house.'
Wife Cake is a popular biscuit in Asia with a very long history. There are a few different types of Wife Cake. Yee Hup Wife Cake (Lo Paw Bang) is the lighter version.

Singapore Char Kway Teow (Wok-frying noodles)

Char Kway Teow (Char Kuay Teo), a Wok-frying noodles, is a very popular dish in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. I like both Singaporean and Malaysian versions. Singapore style Char Kway Teow is sweeter and darker compare to Malaysian style Char Kway Teow.

We added Prima Taste Singapore Char Kway Teow (Ready-to-Cook Meal Kit) on our site not too long ago and it has been selling like hotcakes!!!

Our customer, Elen Sia, who is also our friend loves Singapore Char Kway Teow. I am glad she is willing to share the picture and write something for us today.

From Elen Sia:
"Char Kuay Teow is the biggest thing I missed ever since I moved to Indiana in June 2005. So I was very happy when AsianSupermarket365 announced that they would be bringing in Prima Taste Singapore Char Kway Teow (Ready-to-Cook Meal Kit). It is VERY good! I made Char Kuay Teow for dinner tonight with extra wide egg noodles, 1 lb of ground pork (the fattier the better), 2 tbsp of minced garlic, shrimp and 3 eggs. One of Prima Taste's instructions was to use 540g of noodles. That sounded too much, so I reduced it by half and it was perfect. The grease from the ground pork and the sesame oil from the Prima Taste kit coated the egg noodles nicely. And there was enough to feed a family of four!"

Prima Taste Mee Siam

The above Prima Taste Mee Siam's picture is taken by Elen Sia...

Who is Elen Sia? She is our customer and now our friend.:) Like many of you, she loves Prima Taste.

Prima Taste is a Singapore Award Winning Brand. Click here to look at all other Prima Taste's products.

This is what Elen wrote:
"It's not easy to find good bee hoon (Rice vermicelli) in Indiana, so I improvised for today's Prima Taste's Mee Siam lunch. I used generic "Oriental pasta" (this was actually printed on the package). I also tend to add favorite things into the dishes I cook. For today's lunch, I made meatballs out of lean ground turkey. Cooking with Prima Taste is so easy and convenient. Everything you need is in sachets that are clearly labeled. The cooking instructions on the back of the box are also clear and simple to understand. It took me only 20 mins to prepare the dish. I am so happy that I can now have my favorite food from back home whenever I want. It also makes me very happy when the roommates enjoy the food I grew up eating."

Thank you, Elen!

Vegetable Curry

I had Japanese curry with a friend at a trendy Japanese restaurant in East Village about a month ago. I ordered vegetable curry. I got a very small bowl of curry with very little vegetables in it. The rice came with the vegetable curry was double or maybe even triple the size of the curry. It was an expensive meal. I guess I paid for the atmosphere and location of the restaurant.

I wasn't 'satisfied' with the food that night. I prefer Malaysian style vegetable curry.

See what I have in my vegetable curry... okras (lady's fingers), string beans, Japanese pumpkins, carrots, eggplants, red chili, tofu and white cabbage... ALL THE GOOD STUFF:)

I made the vegetable curry with Tean's Gourmet Vegetarian Curry Paste. Other brands can be found here. Cooking instruction is included on each product page. You also need coconut milk to cook this dish.

Beef Rendang Curry (Dry Beef Curry)

I met a Malaysian couple last year. The wife makes very good Beef Rendang Curry (Dry Beef Curry). Whenever she gives me the Beef Rendang Curry that she makes, she will make sure she gives me some cucumbers. And she will say, 'You don't want to eat Beef Rendang Curry without cucumbers.':) She is right. It is so delicious to eat it with cucumbers.

We sell a few different brands of All-In-One Rendang Curry paste and Ready-To-Serve Vegetarian Rendang Curry. You can find them here . You also need coconut milk to cook this dish.

The cooking instruction can be found on each product page. You can also cook chicken and mutton with Rendang Curry paste.

Bak Kut Teh (A Chinese Soup)

'Bak kut teh ( 肉骨茶) is a Chinese soup popularly served in Malaysia, Singapore, China, Taiwan and Indonesia (where there is a predominant Hoklo and Teochew community) and also, cities of neighboring countries like Batam of Indonesia and Hat Yai of Thailand. The name literally translates as "meat bone tea", and, at its simplest, consists of meaty pork ribs simmered in a complex broth of herbs and spices (including star anise, cinnamon, cloves, dang gui, fennel seeds and garlic) for hours. Click here to read more. '

Other than pork ribs, tofu, mushrooms and Enoki mushrooms that you see in the picture, I also like to cook my Bak Kut Teh soup with cabbage, pig's feet and chicken's feet.

We have 3 types of Bak Kut Teh spices. They are Tean’s Gourmet , Claypot and A1 . Cooking instruction is on each product page.

To make Bak Kut Teh, you also need soy sauce and black soy sauce. You can find Orchid Brand Soy Sauce and Yuen Chun Thick Caramel Sauce from our site.

Puff Biscuits (Hiong Piah/Heong Peng/Ma Tai So)

We added Yummito Puff Biscuits (Original Flavor) on our site today. Yummito? It sounds so Japanese... so what is it? It is actually the popular 'Hiong Piah/Heong Peah/Ma Tai So' that we love. It is manufactured by 'Gunung Rapat Hiong Piah.' I believe many of you have heard about this company.

I was a bit hesitant (ok, stubborn) to add Yummito Puff Biscuits (Original Flavor) because we already have our Top Seller - Soon Ann Heong Peah (Ma Tai So). I didn't see the point adding something similar. I am glad the supplier managed to convince me to change my mind. The supplier told me many times that Yummito Puff Biscuits (Original Flavor) is different and people want more and more after having the first one.

I like both Soon Ann Heong Peah (Ma Tai So) and Yummito Puff Biscuits (Original Flavor) from their crispy outer layers to their sweet fillings. Both puff biscuits taste different. When you bite them, you can tell that their textures are also very different. They both are delicious. MOST IMPORTANTLY, they are very fresh. I really don't know which one I like more.

They are individually packed in order to retain the freshness. It also makes it very convenient to bring to the office, school, travel etc.

I like to eat them together with a pot of Chinese Tea.

Assam Curry Fish Head with Okra (Lady's Fingers)

Delicious Curry Fish Head in less than 15 minutes!

I made this dish with the Salmon Fish Head that I bought from a Korean Supermarket. It is very fresh and it has a lot of meat.

I rubbed some salt over the fish head, left it for about 15 minutes and rinsed the salt off before cooking. The paste that I used is Tean’s Gourmet Malaysian Assam Fish Paste. You can also use ChanHong Instant Assam Curry Paste If you want dipping sauce for the fish and okra, I suggest Orchid Brand Soy Sauce.

See cooking instructions here and here.

I was supposed to cook the okra (lady's fingers) and tomatoes together with the fish head in the curry. I didn't do it this time because I wanted to take picture and I was afraid they didn't look as good if they were 'soaked' in the curry.

A waitress at a very popular Malaysian Restaurant in Chinatown always suggests me to mix Assam Curry and Curry with coconut when I order Curry Fish Head from them. It is a good idea. I also want to share a secret with you... the paste that you get from our site tastes better than the restaurant's quality.:)

Sweet and Spicy Pineapple Beef

My Sweet and Spicy Pineapple Beef is delicious. It means something to me.

I like fruits in my food. I always order Pineapple with Beef, Mango with Beef and Lychee with Beef from a Malaysian restaurant not far from where I live. The sauce that they use to make this dish is sweet and spicy. I pay $9 including tips and tax for a lunch special. I think it is very expensive for the portion that I get, so I decided to try and make it myself. I wasn't sure if Lingham Hot Sauce is going to give me the same result. I wasn't sure if I get to share this with you here.

Guess what? It's delicious. I am glad I get to share with you!!!

What you need to make this dish:
Lingham Hot Sauce, 1 pound of thin sliced beef, pineapple (try not to use canned pineapple, the fresh one tastes much better), red bell pepper, minced garlic, cooking oil, water and spring onion.

Very simple steps:
1. Heat some cooking oil in a wok and then add minced garlic. Stir fry the garlic.
2. Add and stir fry the beef. Add a little water so the beef doesn't get dry.
3. Add 3-4 tablespoons of Lingham Hot Sauce. Continue stir fry. Don't overcook the beef as it will get tough. Alternatively, you can marinade the beef with the hot sauce and put in the fridge for about 30 minutes before cooking.
4. Add in the pineapple, red bell pepper and spring onion. Quickly stir fry, don't overcook.
5. Serve hot with steamed rice.

Suggestion: Instead of beef, you can make shrimps, squids and chicken too.

Lingham Hot Sauce has over 100 years of history. It can be used as table sauce, seafood cocktail sauce, marinade for meat and fish, spice up salad dressing, stir fry dishes... etc.

Butter Prawns With Cereal

I don't like cereal... actually, it is not true. I don't like cereal with milk but I do like cereal with butter prawns a lot. Well, these 2 types of cereals taste very different.

Butter Prawns With Cereal is a very expensive and famous dish in the restaurants in Malaysia and Singapore. I bought some tiger prawns from Chinatown and made them with Instant Crispy Prawn With Cereal Mix. It is delicious and cheap. The sweetness from the cereal in this mix really goes very well with the butter prawns.

Click here for cooking instruction. You can also use this mix to make butter soft shell crabs and butter squid.

Chicken Curry, Potatoes and Haogie Rolls

I like rice more than bread. But when I eat Chicken Curry, I find it more delicious to eat it with bread. Today, I am going to have it with the Haogie Rolls that I bought from A&P this morning.

My youngest sister is coming over for dinner tonight. She is a very straight forward person. If the food is bad, she will say it. So not wanting to be hurt and take any risk, I made the Chicken Curry with Tean’s Gourmet Malaysian Chicken Curry Paste and coconut milk.

I LOVE this paste. I just finished cooking it. It smells so good. It is a torture that I don't get to eat it right away because I have to wait for it to get cold and then take pictures to post here. After taking the pictures, I have to wait for my youngest sister to arrive. I am so hungry.

I always add a type of vegetable to this dish. This time I have potatoes.

Other Chicken Curry Paste that you can get from our site is Chilliz Chicken Curry Paste.

Chinese Tea Eggs and Margaret Thatcher

Remember Margaret Thatcher's 28 eggs a week diet? No? Click here to read more

Eating plain hard boiled eggs can be boring sometimes, let alone 28 eggs a week. Well, she had to do what she had to do. To make delicious hard boiled eggs, you can get HaoMeiWei Herbs Egg Spices to make the popular Chinese Tea Eggs. Some Chinese restaurants in New York are selling 2 Tea Eggs for $3.50.

To make the Tea Eggs, you also need soy sauce and black soy sauce. You can find Orchid Brand Soy Sauce and Yuen Chun Thick Caramel Sauce from our site.

Click here for cooking instruction. This is a very unique dish to bring to a potluck party. What do you think?

Roasted Cuttlefish - A Cinema Snack

Roasted Cuttlefish is my favorite cinema snack. I like a lot of cinema snacks but Roasted Cuttlefish is always on the top of my list. I ate it in the theaters when I was growing up in Malaysia. Now when I watch DVDs at home, I want to eat it in order to really enjoy the movies.

Summer is coming, I am going to add
Roasted Cuttlefish to the BBQ menu.

Grill them together with other food. Make this year's BBQ menu more interesting!!!

Hainanese Chicken's dipping sauces

I want to introduce 2 Hainanese Chicken's dipping sauces to you today. They are Orchid Brand Soy Sauce and Singlong Hainanese Chicken Rice Chili Sauce.

I believe many people would agree with me that Hainanese Chicken is a very simple dish that you never get bored eating it. You can find many Hainanese Chicken recipes online. It is not difficult to make the chicken.

The secret recipe for the rice is here -- ChanHong Hainanese Chicken Rice Mix. I will make the rice with this mix and post it soon.

My mother was in New York a few years ago. She suggested me to get Orchid Brand Soy Sauce as a dipping sauce for the Hainanese Chicken. My mother is a very good cook. She uses Orchid Brand Soy Sauce in many of her cooking.

It takes a lot of time to make the chili sauce. I am glad I have Singlong Hainanese Chicken Rice Chili Sauce for you. So we have everything for you, all you have to do is to make the chicken and eat it!!! What are you waiting for?

Guiling Jelly (Guilinggao) and A Hong Kong Serial Drama

I learned about Guiling Grass Jelly (Guilinggao) from watching a Hong Kong TVB Serial Drama - 'The Seasons (Chinese: 季節)' when I was in Malaysia in 1987. 'The Seasons' was a 389 episode drama series about many unbelievable dramatic things happened in a family that sells herbal tea and Guiling Grass Jelly (Guilinggao) in Hong Kong. In 1987, there was nobody selling Guiling Grass Jelly (Guilinggao) in Malaysia. I was always very curious how it tasted.

Click here to learn more about Guiling Grass Jelly Powder (Guilinggao)... good for skin complexion when ingested.

The first time I ate it was when I was working in Hong Kong in 1995. I remember how I excited I was that day.

Now you can make Guiling Grass Jelly (Guilinggao) at home in less than 10 minutes with our low sugar Happy Grass Guiling Grass Jelly Powder (Guilinggao). You can add toppings such as honey, canned fruits, red beans, soya milk etc according to own preference. I don't like to add anything. I like to taste the original flavor.

Konnyaku - A delicious dieting dessert

Last September I got a Personal Trainer to help me to 'look better.':) My trainer wanted me to go on a NO oil, high fiber, low sugar and low carb diet for 6 months.

During that time, food that I was allowed to eat were very limited. I felt thankful that I could still enjoy the dessert that I love - Konnyaku Jelly. Konnyaku is a very healthy food that is rich in dietary fibers and low in calories.

'It is an ideal food for weight control since Konnyaku expands in the digestive system and gives the feeling that the stomach is full. At the same time, Konnyaku cleans toxins in the intestines.' Click here to learn more about Konnyaku...

I am very happy whenever I see people order Konnyaku Jelly. We can eat healthy and look good at the same time. Isn't it wonderful?

Btw, my 'look better' plan is a success.:)

We carry many different Konnyaku Jelly flavors. My favorites are mango and lychee. We also sell the Jelly Molds. Hope you like it as much as I do.

I can't stop eating... BBQ fish

Help me! I can't stop eating Horbill Barbecue (BBQ) Fish

I added it on AsianSupermarket365 2 weeks ago. It is selling like hot cakes!!!

It is so good that I can't stop eating it. I had it before but forgot how good it was until I ate it recently. If you never tasted it, I strongly recommend you to try it.

I don't drink. My friends told me it tastes very good with beer.
Is it true? Maybe they are just finding an excuse to drink more. lol

Penang Assam Laksa

I was born and raised in Penang. Penang has a lot of good food. I love food. You probably think that it is difficult for people who love food to know what food they love the most. For me, my No.1 favorite food is and always will be Penang Assam Laksa. I like all kinds of Penang Assam Laksa... Chinese style, Malay style... EVERY Penang Assam Laksa. I just love it.

The picture here is a bowl of Penang Assam Laksa that I made with ChanHong Penang Assam Laksa Soup Paste. I added Ayam Brand Sardines In Tomato Sauce in the soup. If I want my soup to be more sour, I add Tamarind Paste and Tamarind Skin. I see people add the Prawn Paste in the boiling soup but I like to add mine in my own bowl.

Another Penang Assam Laksa Premix Spices that I really want you to know is the Malay Style Noraini’s Penang Assam Laksa Premix Spices. The supplier's wife suggested that I add it to the site long ago. She said that it was so delicious that people who tasted it, loved it. I didn't want to add it at first because I already have 2 Penang Assam Laksa Paste. But after I tried it, I am getting addicted. I will take pictures and show you later. Instead of using the Ayam Brand Sardines in Tomato Sauce, I cooked the soup with mackerels in a filter bag and then took them out to remove the bones. Last step is to blend them (it is a must because of their numerous fine bones) and add them back to the soup. Oh, I almost forgot... you can get the Dried Laksa Noodles (Lai Fun) from us too.

Tambun Cookies (Tau Sar Peah) and Ginger Drink with Honey

I think Soon Ann Tambun Cookies (Tau Sar Peah - Green Bean Paste) and Nature's Own Ginger Drink with Honey are a very good combination. I like to have them for breakfast, afternoon coffee break or supper. In the winter, I like to have a cup of hot Ginger Drink with Honey everyday. In the summer, I like to add a lot of ice in it. It is very refreshing. To make it more fun, why not make a glass of Bubble Ginger Drink with Honey?

Among all the Tambun Cookies, why did I pick Soon Ann? I like it because it is delicious and not too sweet. I don't feel guilty after eating them.:)

1st Post - Introduction

This is not a food blog where you can learn cooking from scratch. Majority of the food that I make are from 'Easy to Cook', 'Ready to Serve', 'All In One' ingredients. However, I can guarantee you that they are all very delicious. I do let people know that I don't know how to cook and I depend on all these 'Easy to Cook' 'All In One' ingredients. After they know that, many people STILL think that I am a good cook. I do want to give myself some credits though... I am very good at selecting the right products.:)

I started this blog simply because I want to save the pictures of the food that I cook. I also want to share with people who buy from AsianSupermarket365
what I like and maybe one day they can share the food that they cook using the ingredients they get from AsianSupermarket365 here.

The first thing I want to share with you is the String Beans with Shrimps that I made with Oasis Sambal With Shrimps last week. Sambal With Shrimps Stir Fry Sauce is used in frying Kang Kong (water spinach), string beans, okra, egg plants etc. You can add squids, shrimps, chicken to the dish.
